ISLAND IN THE SAND
Part XXIV
The fateful words were heard by every member of Star’s band, but none reacted as she did.
“I’ve killed him,” she breathed out, leaning into the wall at her side for support. “He was a long way from perfect, but he didn’t deserve to die,” she got out, tears forming in her eyes while she fought to hold them back.
Considering that I know nothing about AI this tale is getting curiouser and curiouser… Still loving it.
But I have came to the conclusion that deep down, Sly is a coward. All bully’s are in my opinion.
You are on the right track, Monty

Another great chapter. Looking forward to the next one
Now you have me floating in air waiting for the next segment!
Thank you, Jim, for another great chapter. I think I see this as a never ending saga. Truces, alliances, repopulation, all that and a little drama along the way. Impressive work, thank you.
There will be an ending…
Thanks for all of your support, Walter

First James have a great Independance day, and can’t wait for more of Stars experience, enjoy the book, exciting.
Thank you, Jim.
Wow,James! That’s a “SLY” real rifle pointed blossoming yellow flaming bullet coming at Star way to end that chapter. Lol!
Love it!
The animosity between the machines is both funny but makes one wonder what we will have to deal with in the near future. I have a feeling the machine will suffer no ill effects from the rifle being it can travel in outer space as well. The ability to overwrite their own programs has been debated over they years. I would have severe apprehensions with it.
So is this REALLY fiction, Pete?
