I loved Chickenman, I never missed it during my tour as a Saigon Cowboy! Somehow it seemed to confirm the absurdity of what we were engaged in. In my first tour (1966-67) everyone was reading and quoting Catch-22. That reminded me of the cliche that in WWI all the soldiers were supposed to have a copy of Nietsche in their backpacks.
