When, when indeed?
When is the American culture going to get its act together and begin to take action? Are we so divided and conquered that we cannot fix some of the outrages that have been going on and the new ones being revealed by whatever this virus really is? They are truly egregious and embarrassing, the actions have been taken by American institutions and businesses. What was that airline luggage charge crap, and it continues? Why did America tolerate something so abysmally stupid but brilliant in that the airlines were able to illegally collude and charge everyone for stuff they have to have to travel? How is America putting up with the collusion, illegal again, wherein the gas stations across the country price fix for no good reason at all, other than that they can collude, not compete, and literally steal from automobile owners and drivers?
How is it that Harvard was able to get PPP money and the L.A. Lakers? Why is America doing nothing?
Has the country become populated by moving herds of cowardly animals? Have we become terminally stupid as a group? Why is Harvard allowed to continue as a school at all? Close it down. Why are the Lakers allowed to remain a professional basketball team? Kick them out. Why do we bail out the airlines and then continue to allow them to treat the public like idiot customers one after another? Why are the cell phone companies allowed to give bad service by turning off most of their rural towers to save money on what it costs to electrically operate them? Shut them down, take them over, regulate the hell out of them. I am so tired of being among this listless, cowardly, and downright cowering public.
I have no place left to go, however, and I love the idea, the concept, and the written history of America and what it could become.

The scools have been run by the teachers unions for so long that the students are not taught to think.They believe what they are told by an authority figure without question.I used to wonder how the German people could be unaware of what the Nazi’s were doing.Now I see people who cannot think for themselves who are so heavily propagandize it causes them physical pain to try to think for themselves.
You have it about right Jospeh, except it isn’t the unions. It’s the school administrations that have been filled by political people and have no
teaching backgrounds. The mission statements of the schools need to be gone back to and no administrators should be anything but ex-teachers.
There are tons of retired teachers who would be perfect. Our shitty education system turned teachers into blue collar workers. They shouldn’t ever
have needed unions.

I think that it has come to the point,that the media is spewing out so much fear and propaganda that its is stupid at this point.I cant help but wonder what the government has slipped by us.The media keeps beating the twice dead horse attempting a third death for the poor thing.In other words they need to give it a rest.I dont know abou you but im tired of looking at the talking heads and hearing about this virus.I get the point.I dont watch the news any more because of the constant dribble and propaganda spewing out of the networks.I feel much better now that I have gotten that off my chest.I have read all of your thirty days has september.And I think you are one hell of a writer.And I thank you for sharing your story.You bring it out and it makes one feel like they are right there in the action.Thank you again for sharing your incredible experince.
Not only are these troubled times but we are in deep trouble as a culture and a country.
This is becoming (the virus ‘epidemic’) a full court press to reduce the U.S. to a miserable
palpitating mass of humans without hope, starved of food and getting by on daily, hourly and by the minute
reports to create continuing fear…and to keep us separated in distance and also in beliefs.

Thanks for the support Pam. I am very much afraid the the virus, although real, is being used for
much more serious effect. I fear for the country, the culture and those without money, means or shelter.

James this post is like getting hit in the head with a baseball bat. It stuns me.
I think of Bob Dylan’s “It’s Alright Ma I’m only Bleeding.”
What the hell is going on and what have we become, what have I become.
I was a supposed democrat and now a supposed republican.
I was a supposed Trump hater and no supposed Trump lover.
I am neither of those things.
I have a brain, a load of life experience, a pen/keyboard, and an observing remembering brain.
I can see. I can think. I can write.
What I am seeing, thinking, and writing are bringing on the conclusions I am coming
to here and everywhere else.
This whole virus thing is one giant piece of an ever-larger mosaic that the public will not
get to see until ‘they’ are done putting it together.
Many of us, unfortunately, will be ‘done’ by that time too.
